This essay seeks to define 'change' in school contexts and observes the evidence of impacts in one primary, one special and two secondary schools in East London, one year on from their Creative Partnerships projects exploring whole school change.
The types of change described includes school ethos and values, curriculum content and organisation, pedagogical approaches, staff development, external partnerships and assessment methods.
Questions and advice for future change journeys are offered in the conclusion, including advice on leadership, planning and partnerships.
