This 14 minute film documents a research trip to America in 2004, initiated by Creative Partnerships London East for schools within its Preferred Learning Styles and Creativity programme: an action research programme involving ten East London schools.
Four teachers took part in the trip and were able to explore and develop their own practices by making connections and comparisons with American teaching styles. The teachers reflect on their learning experiences in the film, including the different creative teaching and learning styles they have observed and how they intend to take this learning forward, and the value of relationships formed through an exchange experience.
The film provides an insight into how learning styles and multiple intelligences can be integrated into classroom practice and the role the arts can play in creating rich opportunities for a deeper learning experience across the curriculum.
