We're excited to mark our tenth anniversary of inclusive takeovers, bringing Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent children and young people together to empower, celebrate and explore their creativity.
Over the past nine years, I Am Festival has provided a platform for hundreds of young people to showcase their talents, leadership, ideas and opinions.
Our 10th anniversary festival will be taking place from 18 – 21 March 2025, delivered in partnership with Tate Modern, Young V&A and AFK. Over the week we will be exploring the theme ‘Make Some Noise’.
We have a number of exciting events taking place during the festival week, including:
- An event curated and delivered by our brilliant Cultural Ambassadors – a group of deaf, disabled and neurodiverse young people facilitated by artist and facilitator Jo Paul. Over a year our Cultural Ambassadors meet weekly to develop their creative skills, work with different artists, and design their own activities for the festival.
- Creative workshops for Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent children and young people.
- CPD for creative teachers working with Deaf, disabled & neurodivergent children across London’s specialist and mainstream settings.
- Workshops for professionals working in the cultural sector.
Contact Chloe Randall if you would like to find out more.
As part of the festival, we have also commissioned three fantastic organisations; A Little Learning, Haringey Shed and SLiDE, who have been working with three schools from our I Am Network to co-create exciting projects with their students.
