Cultural Sector Masterclasses

Learn new ways to improve your work with children and young people

Cultural Sector Masterclasses are a series of workshops for creative learning professionals that explore current topics affecting children and young people programmes.

A New Direction is partnering with sector leaders to bring you exciting and relevant CPD to help you reflect on your programmes for children and young people, and strengthen your creative practice. Each session will provide space for you to test new tools and share insights with peers.

Upcoming Masterclasses

New Masterclasses coming soon! You loved the magic masterclasses with Claire Murphy, and she’s returning this autumn.

Our Masterclass Series offers a space for cultural practitioners to pause, reflect, and re-energise their work through guided sessions, shared insight, and creative exploration.

Running through the darker months, these sessions are designed to support your practice when you need it most.

? Full programme details, session topics, and booking links will be released in September 2026.

What previous Cultural Sector Masterclass participants are saying about the workshops:

"Thank you for these sessions, so important to foster the opportunity to reflect on working in these areas."
"Inspiring, informative and heart-warming!"
"Thank you for some really pertinent reminders of why we do this work and also of new angles to learn about."

Do you work with young people within an arts and culture setting and want to share your work with our sector colleagues in one of our Masterclasses? Do you have an idea about what topic you would like a Masterclass workshop to focus on? We would love to hear about it!
