These materials are for your school to use how you like. We suggest they be used for the class/es that took part in the Primary Arts In-Schools Touring workshop and show for some extra creative activities, but if you prefer to use them differently or with a different group of pupils, please do.
We’ve created some activity ideas for how you might use these materials. We hope you and your pupils enjoy exploring them!
Curated by CLPE’s librarian, our book lists contain an inspiring range of books that complement the Primary Arts In-Schools Touring Programme. The lists suggest books from EYFS through KS1 and up to KS2, including picture books, information books and novels.
The books have been chosen to tie in with five themes linked to the 10 performances and workshops on offer this year: Circus, Carnival and Music Spectacular | Letters and Other Interactive Storytelling | Self-Confidence and Finding Your Voice | The Environment and Recycling | Trust, Spies, and Lies.
We hope you and your pupils enjoy exploring them!
This visual guide is designed for pupils who will watch a performance and experience a workshop in their school. It could be particularly relevant to pupils who benefit from Social Stories.
Teachers could read it with their classes before the arts organisations arrive, and it could be shared as a handout for parents and carers to read at home too. You are welcome to amend this resource so that it works best for your pupils.
