This learning guide, produced by A New Direction in collaboration with UP Project, is designed to support primary schools to engage with the new public art commission Newham Trackside Wall in the London Borough of Newham by artist Sonia Boyce OBE RA. The learning guide was written by artist and educator Maria Amidu and is designed to support creative delivery of the National Curriculum Programmes of Study. The learning guide contains background information about Sonia Boyce and Newham Trackside Wall, including images of the artwork during the design and production stage, and installed on site. It also contains information about how you can visit the artwork, which is 1.9km long and runs through Custom House, Silvertown and North Woolwich in the London Borough of Newham.
