A bright and busy 2015 for Create Jobs

The team at Create Jobs are very excited to be starting a new year with great opportunities for both young people and employers, including The Full Works programme, Masterclasses and Employer Breakfasts.

15 January 2015

It’s a brand new year and we’re feeling great to be back here at Create Jobs. 2015 is looking bright and busy.

Here’s a little flavour of what’s coming up…

Launching The Full Works programme

Starting today, we’re offering two months' intensive support to the brightest and best on our books to receive:

  • specialised 1-1 support
  • mentoring from us and our network of creative professionals
  • interview coaching

  • introductions and networking opportunities.

This new approach will give intensive support to our most motivated young people to give them the best chance of gaining work experience, interviews and jobs through our networks. If you want to be involved, or know someone who does, then take a look at our eligibility criteria and further information before getting in touch on createjobs@anewdirection.org.uk or 0207 608 2132. Recruitment starts this week!

Masterclasses

In 2014 we enjoyed some unbelievable masterclasses with world-famous fashion designers Jean Paul Gaultier and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and the thrilling founder of Punchdrunk productions, Felix Barrett. Truly masters of their trade, we are still humbled by the warm words of wisdom they shared with us about their careers and their art.

This year, we’ll be exploring the world of music, events, festivals, design, tech and more through a series of masterclasses in and around London. And this year, we’re making all our masterclasses open access to anyone registered with Create Jobs (on a first come first served basis).

If you don’t want to miss out, then make sure you register here for updates.

Employer breakfasts

After the success of our inaugural event in December, we’ll be rolling out our employer breakfasts in 2015. These are an opportunity for employers in the creative industries to network and hear about how to access funding and support to create work experience and paid positions for young people in their organisations.

Watch this space for themes and dates!

Finally, we always love hearing from old friends. So whether you’re a young person or a partner, get in touch and let us know what you’re up to.
