My name is Amenn, I am 23 years old.

I was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland where I graduated with a degree at Maynooth University in Philosophy and Sociology.

I moved to London in 2019 immediately after graduating, where I had been working in the architecture industry in a research/community engagement role for about a year.

I have always been interested in digital design and have often pondered pursuing a career in product design/ux design, but wasn't quite sure where to start.

I've always liked the problem-solving and strategic thinking aspects of product design, and I believed that my transferrable abilities in sociology and philosophy would help me advance in a career as a product designer.

What I hope to gain from the flipside programme is the ability to develop the technical skills needed to research, design, prototype, test, and pitch a digital product.

I also hope that the flipside programme will enable me with the ability to gain more confidence in relation to presenting and working more effectively in a collaborative environment.
