A life-changing opportunity for talented young Londoners

This will be a life-changing opportunity for at least one talented young poet, with commissions worth £9000 as well as superb development opportunities offered by Spread the Word.

Through an open application process, six talented young poets (aged 18 -25) will take part in a development week (including 3 nights/4 days outside London) over the summer of 2013, culminating with an opportunity to perform at Southbank and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

On National Poetry Day (October 3rd 2013) one of the six will be announced as the first Young Poet Laureate for London.
