Free schools: David Cameron pledges 500 more by 2020

Too few young people becoming apprentices, say MPs

Not enough teenagers are taking up apprenticeships despite concerted government efforts, including £1.6bn of investment, a group of MPs has said. Apprenticeships have increased overall since 2010 but among 16 to 19 year olds the number has decreased by 10,000. Read more
