Arts Council England have publish a new report on diversity in the arts and culture sector, and are also launching four new strategic funds for diversity totalling £8.6 million. Read more
Last week saw the culmination of our Panic! programme - a season
of debates, discussions, screenings and gigs which highlighted issues
surrounding social mobility in the arts. 25 young people also took part in an
employability programme alongside the events and you can read blog posts by two

This week we were delighted to announce that we have been
successful in securing £35,000 of funding from the RBS Skills and
Opportunities fund. This money will now go towards our new ‘Create Jobs:
Ambassadors’ programme which will provide 250 young Londoners with the
opportunity to enter into creative employment. Read

The Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre are among 60 international arts organisations partnering with online giant Google for a new "first-of-its-kind" digital exhibition. The digital showcase allows audiences to view more than 150 interactive stories, from drama and dance to music and opera. Read more
Youth London have announced their new Getting Ready Dance Programme that will see 10 youth organisations from 10 different boroughs work together to deliver culture education to young people across the capital. A New Direction will work in partnership with Youth London to deliver the programme as part of the Cultural Education Challenge. Read more
West End musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is to launch a series of school workshops based around drama, singing and musical theatre. The workshops will be led by practitioners connected with the production, including former cast members, and aim to enhance young people’s experience of seeing the musical. Read more
