Surroundings is a short film that focuses on the theme of youth voice and shows different perspectives of young people on how they perceive local issues within their community.

The video also shows nine young poets, working alongside professional filmmakers, performing their work to camera, and presenting their ideas.

The Secondary School's cross-curricular project was a partnership project with Archbishop Michael Ramsey Technology College and Eelyn Lee Productions.

Eelyn Lee, director of the video remembers:

"A group of year 9 PE students volunteered to participate in the (weekly parkour) sessions.Using role play and discussion, we transferred some of year 9's recent learning about causality by exploring what causes people to move from one place to another."
