We are looking to regularly work with Careers Coaches with a particular interest and experience of working in the creative, cultural and digital sectors.
You will be delivering the Good Growth Hub’s Careers Coaching and Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) service: Creative Connect.
As a Creative Connect Careers Coach, you will bring your experience and expertise in supporting careers coaching, advice and guidance to support our local East London young residents via one-to-one sessions (both in person and online) as well as through small group sessions. The appointed individuals will coordinate and work closely with A New Direction's Employment & Skills team to facilitate this, providing IAG support through the sessions that encourage personal and professional development. Our service takes a people-centered approach, offering professional information alongside pastoral guidance and care.
We are seeking up to 6 x Creative Connect Careers Coaches
About the role
The appointed individuals (Creative Connect Careers Coaches) shall be responsible for:
- Providing quality industry-specific careers coaching
- Supporting young people to identify suitable job opportunities
- Job application support with feedback on CVs, cover letters, applications, and pre-job interview assessments
- Feedback on individuals' work portfolio and online profile
- Provision of job interview support
- Administration of service through reporting and logging session updates
- Delivering small group sessions where relevant
- Engage in group reflections/learnings on delivery
About you
- Insight and experience in working with young people aged 18-30 years
- Share expertise in the creative, tech, and digital work landscape
- Have a track record of supporting young people with practical advice and guidance about how to gain employment in the wider sector
- Experience in signposting to relevant other agencies and partners
- Experience working collaboratively in a team
- Knowledge of the local geographical area (Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest)
- Experience in moving young people into work opportunities
- Experience in workshop/ training facilitation
Fee
£150 – £250 per day (dependent on experience and expertise)

Duration
Regular weekly availability is required, with a minimum of 1.5 days and max 3 days per week, Monday-Friday between July 2023 – March/July 2024.
The final contracted number of days will be dependent availability of practitioners and the programme for various delivery themes.
