This creative session will discuss the value of Artsmark and the benefits to schools of applying. It will support you to explore the arts provision your school already has and think about raising the profile of the arts within your school. You will also discuss where you are with your current arts provision in light of the Artsmark criteria, where you want to/need to be to be an Artsmark school, and how to achieve this.
Embracing Social Media

Focusing on Twitter, the session will highlight the power of this micro blogging platform for sharing, learning, promoting and collaborating. Learn how educators are making use of it both as a professional learning tool and a classroom resource. This interactive session will answer your questions about Arts Award, and will provide you with the resources and knowledge to confidently deliver Arts Award in your school. This participatory session is focused on those new to Arts Award or schools that have questions about how to deliver the Award in their setting. We will look at questions such as:

- How much time does it take to deliver Arts Award?
- What levels of the Award should my students do?
- Which students does Arts Award work best for?
- Who can deliver Arts Award?
Policy Changes and the New National Curriculum

The aim of this session is to update teachers on the latest policy changes relating to the arts, culture and the curriculum. We will discuss the changes to the National Curriculum and other changes to education, and talk about the impact they will have on teaching and learning in schools.

- What are the benefits of applying?
- What is the application process?
- What do you need to do now?
You will also have a chance to ask questions about the process.
