Bringing together care professionals & the cultural sector to create opportunities for care experienced young people

• Who can join the network?

  • Virtual school teams

  • Designated teachers

  • Local authority colleagues with a care remit

  • Colleagues from non-statutory organisations (including charities and community groups) working with children in care or children who are care experienced

  • Colleagues from cultural organisations with a track record in delivering work with and for care experienced children and young people

  • Colleagues from cultural organisations with an interest in developing this work

  The Culture Care Network will be facilitated by A New Direction, with members shaping the focus and outcomes. We are also interested in exploring how young people can contribute to the network.

  The network will meet (initially online) four times per year, see dates below.

  • Tuesday 24 May 2022 – 10am-12pm

  • Thursday 22 September 2022 – 10am-12pm

  • Tuesday 31 January 2023 – 10am-12pm

  • Thursday 30 March 2023 – 10am-12pm

  Members will also be supported to connect and share ideas and opportunities through a dedicated Slack community and a regular e-news.
