Artsmark Connects: Ofsted Deep Dives - advocating for your subject - 30 June 2020
Please note: Artsmark Connects events are open to all teachers, including those not currently registered for Artsmark. Cultural sector organisations are also welcome to book.
Join us at the Museum of London for an evening of networking, support and exploration. This event is particularly for arts subject leads (visual art, DT, music, drama, literacy, dance, creative, textiles, design etc) and SLT members.
With the new OFSTED framework focusing on the wider curriculum, subject leads are being put under increased pressure before and during inspections. So how can arts subject leads better prepare themselves to advocate for their subject and prepare for the new expectations around Deep Dives? This session will provide participants the space to share experiences, ideas and support one another through the challenges currently faced by subject leads in schools. There will be practical activities to help develop your approach to Deep Dives and to support colleagues.
There will also be a chance to find out more about Culture Mile Learning https://www.culturemile.london/ who are hosting this event.
Artsmark Connect events provide the following opportunities:
Presentations: meet Ben Jones of Mayflower Primary school and find out about their Artsmark journey
Celebrate: congratulate those schools that have recently been awarded Artsmark
Discover: different ways to prepare for Deep Dives and hear how the partners of Culture Mile and other Artsmark Partners can support you on your Artsmark journey
Network: a chance for teachers and the cultural sector to network and share ideas/practice
Teachers, senior leaders and governors are welcome to attend, as are members of the cultural sector. Places are limited, book now!
