Arts Award is qualification that enables young people to develop as artists and arts leaders and recognises young people’s achievements.
For the Discover level young people must:
- Explore the different art forms around them
- Take part in an arts activity
- Find out about an artist and their work
- Share their skills
At Bronze level young people additionally explore art as an audience member and share review of this.
It is highly adaptable and flexible, meaning it can be mapped onto any participatory project with young people. It has measurable outcomes
It is possible to achieve Discover within a day or to embed it into a longer project over a week. Bronze can be achieved within a week or on a programme that works across a term.
