This course is delivered online on Zoom, and in-person at our creative space – The Good Growth Hub– located inside the Olympic Park in Hackney Bridge.
5 days a week, Monday - Friday.
As a group, you will create 90-second films in response to a brief. There will be weekly shooting exercises and editing challenges, with the programme ending with an end-of-course celebratory screening.
Inspirational talks, workshops, and masterclasses will be timetabled around core training tasks of storytelling, shooting prep, shooting & editing, and so on, in preparation to help you make your short 90-second films. Industry partners will help with Co-design and training delivery in the form of guest lecturing, masterclasses, technical skills-based workshops & virtual creative field trips to studios.
In addition to industry & professional training, participants also receive careers advice and guidance, individual support, peer networking and are given time for self-study.

- Directing – Hear from the pros – a series of masterclasses
- Short form documentary making
- Lighting It – Hear from Lighting Directors + DOP at the top of their game
- Producing - Budgets/ Call sheets/ Location Permissions & shoot etiquette
- Editing + best practice content creation including Premiere Pro
- Sound Design- Meet the sound experts
- Casting for different formats
- Writing for Film - An introductory taster workshop
- Music Videos – Commissioning & Production
- How to apply for grants and Funding for Films
At the end of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Join our cohort of alumni and its growing network of creatives and influencers (many of whom are now excelling in photography, film-making, advertising, writing, directing, arts, cultural, and content creation sectors)
