Get skilled at telling your story, building your brand and making money online in four months of masterclasses and workshops

If you're a young man from Newham with Black African and/or Caribbean heritage and want to break into the creative and digital sector, make new connections and learn how to represent yourself online then we can support you LevelUp your skills to start the career you want in the creative and digital sector.

Over four months you'll hear from industry leaders who have been there and done it. They'll talk you through how they're learning and earning, all doing what they love - and teach you how you can do it too.

We'll also help you improve your employability with workshops on mindsets, CVs, LinkedIn profiles and we'll help you make new connections and build your network.

Then at the end of four months, you'll produce your own panel talk to show people what you've learnt.

  • Requirements

    To take part in LevelUp, you must:

    • Identify as male
    • Be 16-24 years old (not be 25 before November 5 2020)
    • Live in Newham or be in the care of the Borough
    • Have an interest in or you are currently pursuing a career within the creative or digital sector
    • Be from Black African, Black Caribbean, Black British and mixed Black ethnic groups.
  • Masterclasses

    The masterclasses will take place once a month in the evenings between the following dates:

    • 30 Nov - 4 Dec
    • 18 - 22 Jan
    • 15 - 19 Feb

    You will then collaborate with your fellow participants to produce an event which will take place in the middle of March.


    Masterclasses will be supported by staggered employability workshops and one-to-one support from our team.
