Creativity Works: Fashion at Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition opening

As 'The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk' opens this week - we look forward to connecting up local young people into employment and training opportunities.

(Sumi Ejiri from the Creativity Works: Fashion project, meets Jean Paul Gaultier at the exhibition opening.)

Creativity Works: Fashion is the forerunner to an employability drive called Creativity Works initiated by the Mayor’s Fund for London.

Delivered by A New Direction in partnership with Create London and Barbican, the pilot links to the gallery’s exhibition The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk (09 April – 25 August 2014), and provides tangible employment opportunities for diverse, local young people.

30 young people (who are not in employment, education or training) will be selected to take part, with the aim of supporting a minimum of 10 into full time employment at the end of the programme. Young people will be welcomed from a diverse range of backgrounds.
