At the end of a thoroughly rewarding year for all of us here at A New Direction, we extend our thanks and gratitude to all our partners and networks, and look forward to a dynamic and exciting 2011.
We are hugely proud of our work over the past year. Our creative and cultural learning programmes have reached more teachers and young people than ever before, now spanning most London boroughs, and our work with young people developing careers and skills within the creative sector goes from strength to strength.
In 2011, we are particularly looking forward to delivering Olympic inspired artistic and creative projects across 145 London schools, culminating in a large-scale celebratory festival in July, and collaborating with CREATE and the National Skills Academy for Creative and Cultural, to explore a strategic, and large-scale approach to delivering work related learning experiences and training opportunities across the Host Boroughs, in order to provide a meaningful legacy for young people through London 2012.
In this new political climate, we see many new challenges ahead, but we believe that with this comes creative collaboration and opportunity, and we look forward to helping to shape these collaborations, and addressing these challenges head on come 2011.
