Tower Hamlets & Hackney Arts Award Network Cluster Meeting - 15 March 2018

About the network

A network of Advisers, Centres and Supporters either working with young people, organisations and settings in the culturally vibrant area of Tower Hamlets, Hackney and/or wider east London area.

The aim of this network is to facilitate opportunities for a shared approach to enable Advisers, Centres and Supporters to have a better understanding of the opportunities on offer and help their young people to take full advantage. We hope it will also offer cultural organisations that run and/or support Arts Award the opportunity to share best practice with other organisations and explore how they can work together to cover the requirements of the Award, sharing of resources and work towards a more sustainable way to run projects.

Organisations, Supporters, Independent Advisers and school-based Centres will benefit from joining this network as it promotes a more joined-up approach, sharing of ideas and models of delivery, offering a space for discussion and support for advisers and facilitate access to programmes that Arts Award Supporters offer.

The network events will be facilitated by Arts Award Adviser Francesca Gkotsi in partnership with Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service (THAMES), the Music Hub for Tower Hamlets and the City of London and the Geffrye Museum and is kindly co-funded by A New Direction.

The session is hosted by 'A' Team Arts, based at the Brady Arts Centre. 'A' Team Arts is an active Arts Award Centre and a key partner to this network and provide arts classes and workshops to young people from across the borough at no cost. Arts courses & workshops include dance, drama, music technology, fashion, film and singing.
