Arts Award CPD: Wellbeing & Youth Voice - 4 February 2020
This session will explore Arts Award as a personalised framework for young people’s growth. The session will feature hands-on techniques and case studies to develop wellbeing centred projects with and for young people. We will also discuss factors that encourage young people’s stories and contributions to a world they want to live in.
The session will feature good practice and tools focussed on personalise young people's learning for wellbeing. It will give participants a supported , activity focussed approach to planning their Arts Award approach. It will include talks and workshops from:
- Becky Vincer, (People United): Delivering the Arts Award through the lens of kindness, social action & self-expression.
- Hannah Peaty, Soho Primary School: Drawing Attention to Life, Classroom activities which use mindfulness to help develop students' creativity
- Ruth Jones, Trinity ( the examination & Awarding body for Arts Award ): Why consider using a qualification to generate wellbeing ? Research from Music Hubs, Hospital schools & more.
- Roksana Khan ( A Team Arts- Tower Hamlets Youth Service): Social action, learning, discover & experimentation, youth voice & self-expression.
Who is it for?
Teachers, representatives from the cultural sector, and arts practitioners working in London. You do not have to be a trained Arts Award adviser to attend this event.
