Primary Arts: Cultural Education Leadership Programme - 2024 - 25

For all London primary teachers ECT+1 and above interested in leading a change in their school's approach to arts, culture and creativity across all subject areas

Delivered by A New Direction and UCL Centre for Educational Leadership, the programme offers:

For participants

  • Curated sessions led by experts from UCL Centre for Educational Leadership
  • Inspiring workshops with a peer group of like-minded teachers
  • Free visits to galleries, theatres and other cultural venues
  • Free resources and learning materials to inspire your practice
  • Opportunity to design, implement, and feedback on your creative interventions in your classroom
  • Support with sharing your new practice in your school setting
  • A certificate from UCL Centre for Educational Leadership on completing the programme

For schools

  • Up to £2,000 to cover the cost of teacher absence
  • Free professional development that can be shared by your creativity leader to all staff
  • Links between your school, the UCL Centre for Educational Leadership and cultural venues
  • Access to a range of creative leadership resources through your Cultural Education Leadership Programme member

Applications for the 2024-25 Cultural Education Leadership Programme programme are now open for a September 2024 start.

Applications will close no later than 5pm on Wednesday 19 June 2024. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by Friday 28 June 2024.
