C&COP – our Creative & Cultural Opportunities Programme – is a series of regular up to 3-week courses offering the resources and support to explore creative career paths and equip participants with industry insight and application guidance that contribute to securing a paid role.
Through the course, young East Londoners partake in masterclasses and workshops designed by industry peers who co-curate each course’s content and curriculum with us.
Embedding 1:1 career advice and guidance and taking place at the Good Growth Hub, the core curriculum covers everything from CV and cover letter writing, confidence building, interview skills, research, pitching, how to come up with new ideas, and more. Our dedicated internal team of facilitators supports participants through every stage of the short programme, helping them digest each course's focus sector landscape, source and apply for related live job opportunities, and set achievable career goals.
C&COP is designed to inform and upskill young people and effectively contribute to bridging the gap between local talent and local businesses. Through the professional connections it facilitates, and the job prep it enables, C&COP offers a well-rounded taster to understand, navigate and progress careers in the creative industries.
The programme first launched in 2017 as part of the London Legacy Development Cooperation (LLDC) East Works' commitment to jobs and continues to be funded by LLDC, with match funding by Foundation for Future London's New Talent-Future Leaders programme.
