Finance and Resources Manager
Hours: 40 hours per week
Reporting to: Business and Operations Director
Salary band: £27k to £35k depending on experience
We are looking for a Finance and Resources Manager, a key role in the financial management and operational support of the organisation.
About the role
A New Direction is a lively, expanding arts charity with around 30 staff and a turnover of nearly £3 million. Working closely with the Business and Operations Director and the small operations team, you will be responsible for the management of effective finance and operational systems, reporting for budgets within the organisation, and to funders and partners outside the organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge and experience of compiling management accounts and end of year statutory accounts, including charity SORP requirements. Experience of preparing monthly management accounts, payment runs and liaison with payroll support is essential. You will have relevant professional experience and/or a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in accounting. Experience of working with accounting software e.g. Access Dimension, Sage 50 is also essential.

Create Jobs Engagement Assistant
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term/12 Months (with possibility of extension)
Reporting to: Partnerships Manager
Salary band: £19,210 to £20,899
To support the Create Jobs initiative, delivering its employability and workforce development programmes supporting young Londoners access the creative and digital industries.

Through the Create Jobs programme, we are transforming London’s workforce by supporting and developing individuals who are underrepresented in the creative and digital industries. To do this we deliver:

- Connections - we connect talented, creative young people to mentors and peers.
About the role
The Engagement Assistant is a pivotal member of the team and is key to the delivery of engagement activities for young people ages 16-30. The role sits within the engagement team of Create Jobs. It will also provide support for the communications team where needed. As we are a small team, there is also an element of general administrative support involved.
This post has been kindly funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation Internship programme, which offers the post holder additional learning and development opportunities throughout the contract.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and hands-on individual aged 18-25, who is willing to get stuck in, demonstrate initiative, and contribute creatively to communicating what we do to young people, employers and partners alike; combining passion for working with young people, great event management skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and talent for organisation.
