Over the two years, 34 Trainees were paid at the London Living Wage and achieved a Level 3 in Culture and Heritage. A New Direction collaborating with Culture& supported the programme with a recruitment, a week-long induction together with a year-long development support programme, Create Audience - a skills-based programme planned to begin in December 2019, designed to develop trainee knowledge and skills around working with audiences.

Topics include engaging grassroots audiences, thinking about accessibility, digital product design, understanding the role of data in developing museum websites, apps, collection databases, ticketing systems and audience insights, as well as innovative uses of social media.

These sessions comprised of tours, talks and hands-on activities all led by industry specialists (Smartify and The Museum of Youth Culture, Barbican, Tate)
