A
New Direction is offering support to libraries that wish to run Arts Award
as part of Summer Reading Challenge 2014, expanding on last year’s
successful pilot, which delivered nearly 400 Arts Awards in
partnership with 13 London library services.
This year, we want to enable the services we’ve already partnered with to
build upon last year’s activity, whilst also inviting new boroughs to
explore ways to embed Arts Award in their Summer Reading Challenge
activity. We are working with the Reading Agency to produce
a new activity booklet for 2014 that libraries can use
to deliver Arts Award Discover.
To do this, A New Direction has developed a flexible menu of options (for
which library services can access a contribution of up to the value
of £500 per borough) to support the embedding of Arts Award within
the Summer Reading Challenge.
