Since 2012, A New Direction has supported Local Cultural Education Partnerships and place-based partnerships to radically improve creative learning provision and engagement. Two key research commissions underpin our programmes of support: the Powerful Partnerships framework, which presents 13 ingredients for powerful outcomes through partnership work (Convey, 2016); and Caring for Cultural Freedom, which explores a cultural ecology approach to place-based work (King’s College London, 2018).
These commissions frame the Powerful Partnerships Resource Library to create a collection of practical and informative resources, underpinned by the ingredients of powerful partnerships and taking a cultural ecologies approach as its starting point.
