Where are we now?

How can we continue to guarantee effective programme governance during the delivery of our programmes? How aligned to our own priorities is the impact of our programmes for both partners and participants?

If you are at the Deliver stage you will have a partnership programme that is underway and you will be starting to measure the impact of your work against your goals. At this stage, your work becomes outward facing. You are balancing building and maintaining momentum through partnership activity whilst keeping the strategic goals in sight. Now is a good time to reflect on how the partnership is growing and strengthen the way you are working together, in order to continue to do more.

Ingredients and recipes

There are many ingredients from the Powerful Partnerships set that feel relevant to the Deliver stage; we have selected some key ones here. The resources that map against these ingredients are designed to predominantly help evaluation and support self-reflection and review.

  • Deliver shared impact: We have included some examples of evaluation approaches drawn from Creative People and Places to support you at this stage. Think about what more you could do in your programmes to increase impact; we have included a presentation about Arts Award, an alternative qualification for young people.
  • Create opportunities for shared learning: We have gathered a number of self-reflection tools including our Powerful Partnerships framework activities. We also recommend seeking out opportunities for peer learning and sharing. Artsmark and Arts Award programmes offer a peer network and AND can connect local partnerships into other group networks for sharing learning. Our Further Reading section signposts to these and other relevant advice and examples.
  • Grow trusting relationships: You might want to think about how you are communicating amongst yourselves if you haven’t already. We have brought together a number of internal communications tools you may find useful.
