This weekend, Arts Award will be at the Great British Carnival. As part of CarnivalXtra there are a number of ways you can get inspired with Arts Award:

Arts Award Supporter – The Great British Carnival is an Arts Award Supporter, and provides a multitude of opportunites to take part in, and be inspired by the arts. Come along and take part in a range of activites that could contribute to your Arts Awards at any level.

Arts Award Discover – For children and families, come to the Heart of Carnival space, to work towards your Arts Award Discover through all of the activities and experiences available at the Great British Carnival.

Find out more about Arts Award Bronze and Silver – The young volunteers at the Great British carnival and the CarnivalXtra team have all been working towards Arts Award Bronze and Silver, find them on the day to ask more about what they have been doing; and come to the Heart of Carnvial if you would like to find out more about Arts Award.

CarnivalXtra is spear-headed by a pioneering board of London’s most exciting young change-makers, including: Allsortz Open Mic, Lyrix Organix, Bite The Ballot, A New Direction and the Mayor of London’s Peer Outreach team and Milestone Digital Youth with The Passion Project. Together they create safe, relaxed and educational artistic and cultural engagement for all the family.

Great British Carnival will be a breath-taking event of dance, infectious music, performance and costume, presenting the world premiere of The Carnival of the Animals: a magical twilight crescendo of costumed performers, 300 dancers, giant carnivalesque creatures and extraordinary illumination.

The Carnival is free and opens at 12pm, with the finale beginning at 8.30pm. For more information please go here
