A New Direction is offering support to hospital school services that wish to pilot delivery of Arts Award Discover in their settings.
To do this, A New Direction has developed a flexible menu of options, which hospital schools can access a contribution up to the value of £1025 per service to support the embedding of Arts Award within their curriculum and offer.
Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it is creative, valuable and accessible. Arts Award can be achieved at five levels, four accredited qualifications and an introductory award.
Through this pilot, A New Direction wishes to further extend the reach and delivery of Arts Award with young people that may have less access to arts and culture because of short or long-term illness, disability or mental health issues.
