We’re on the search for East London-based or facing organisations to partner with us on STEP – a year-long shared training and employment programme co-designed with industry partners including Bow Arts, Sadler’s Wells and UAL London College of Fashion, and delivered at the Good Growth Hub.
STEP’s mission is to build collaboration between talented young East Londoners and creative, cultural and tech businesses operating in or for the area; as a result, facilitating pathways towards inclusive growth and enabling access to careers. Our vision is not only for increased representation in these sectors, but for more sustainable career progression.
STEP connects young people aged 18-30 who live and went to school in the London Boroughs of Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest with employers operating on their doorstep.
We’re looking for employers who are interested in developing a meaningful entry-level training role within their business, and those committed to achieving positive change, increasing representation, fuelling creativity in their business practice, and paying the London Living Wage. Employers will be supported by our experienced team to develop their training placement and will receive advice and guidance on creating inclusive cultures and good working practices. Employers will also join a growing network of line managers and senior leaders, sharing learning and supporting one another on their journey towards inclusive growth within their business. The Good Growth Hub will facilitate robust and meaningful local outreach and create a shared talent pool for recruitment of all STEP roles.
We’re now accepting expressions of interest from local organisations to join the programme as an employer in April 2023.
