About Elmo (East London Mobile Workshop)

Elmo (East London Mobile Workshop) is a year long mobile artist in residence programme, housed in a magically converted Bedford Bus, delivering a free arts and crafts programme of workshops where people will have the chance to really make things.

ELMO has been commissioned by the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as part of their Arts and Culture programme in and around the Park. ELMO's programme of residencies and events will follow the Park's re-opening programme from Summer 2013 to Spring 2013, and will be supported by a mentorship scheme for young people in east London delivered by A New Direction.

ELMO has been co-funded by Arts Council England and supported by the London Boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
